The Rockland Boulders moved one step closer to solidifying their 2019 roster with the acquisition of catcher Adam Ehrlich from the Quebec Capitales for a player to be named later.

Ehrlich was a 6th round draft choice of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2011 amateur draft out of Campbell High School in Studio City, California.  Though he is just 26 years of age, Adam can be considered a veteran as he's entering his ninth professional season.

His first five pro seasons were spent in the Cardinals' organization before landing in Quebec, where he has seen regular action for the past three, including the team's 2017 Can-Am Championship.

A strong defensive backstop, Ehrlich committed just three errors in 480 chances and threw out 34% of opposing runners attempting to steal last year. Though not a power threat, he has also made consistent contributions to Quebec's lineup, batting .265 with 85 RBI in 238 games played for the Caps.

The Boulders start the 2019 season on Thursday, May 17, hosting the defending Can-Am Champ Sussex County Miners in a 7:00 pm start at Palisades Credit Union Park. Tickets for all Boulders home games - including the July 10th All-Star Game against the Frontier League - are available online, at the box office during business hours, or for more information, call 845-364-0009.
