The Rockland Boulders have announced that outfielder Ezequiel Carrera has been traded to the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League for a player to be named later.

Visa concerns put Carrera's travel status to Canada in question, leading to uncertainty as to he would be available for the team's upcoming trip to Trois-Riveres, in addition to future outings.

With last week's retirement of veteran outfielder and former Major Leaguer Matt Den Dekker, Long Island was in need of a veteran outfielder and requested the trade.

Carrera, who joined the Boulders this past week, appeared in four games, batting .267 (4-for-15) with no homers and no RBIs.
