The Rockland Boulders (17-15) played a bit more baseball than expected, earning one win in two cracks at the first place Sussex County Miners (19-11) . First up was the completion of a suspended game that began on May 19th, which the Boulders came back to win 7-6. Chase Harris' sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning would plate the game winning run for Rockland.
The night cap was a back and forth affair, with both teams scoring runs in bunches. Rockland held a 9-7 lead entering the ninth inning, but Sussex County tied it up with a two out, two run double from Audy Ciriaco. The Miners would walk it off in the bottom of the tenth on an RBI single from Troy Dixon.
The Boulders and Miners will continue their weekend series tomorrow night. First pitch for Saturday's game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Skylands Park.
