Fireworks Highlight July 3rd and 4th at Palisades Credit Union Park

Rockland County, NY (June 24, 2019) – The All-Star Summer continues for the Rockland Boulders with a pair of Independence Week contests on the horizon. Rockland opens the month of July with an eight-game homestand leading up to the All-Star break, and July 3rd and 4th will be highlighted by the biggest fireworks displays of the summer.

On July 3rd, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a special edition Patriotic Boulders baseball cap, presented by Kinchley’s. The following evening, fans are invited to participate in the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest, with a live performance by the Ramsey Wind Symphony accompanying the postgame fireworks display, which is presented by Rockland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Both games are set for 6:30 pm starts as Rockland hosts the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, concluding a four-game series.

After the New Jersey Jackals visit from July 5-7, the stage will be set for the biggest event in Rockland County baseball history. On Tuesday, July 9th, festivities begin with a luncheon featuring guest speaker and New York Yankees broadcast legend John Sterling. At 7:30 that evening, the Home Run Derby comes to town with the Legends team featuring luminaries such as Mookie Wilson, Jesse Barfield, and John Flaherty.

One day later, the stars come out at night as the Boulders host the county’s first-ever professional All-Star Game, presented by Good Samaritan Hospital, as the Can-Am League takes on the Frontier League in a 7:00 pm start. Tickets and information for all ASG events are available at rocklandboulders.com, or call 845-364-0009.
