The Boulders (20-22) split a doubleheader with the Trois-Rivieres Aigles on Tuesday evening at Palisades Credit Union Park.

Trois-Rivieres took the first seven-inning game by a score of 5-2 behind five innings of two-run ball from starter Kevin McNorton. Second baseman Ryne Birk drove in both runs for Rockland with a single in the third and a groundout in the fifth.

In the second game, the Boulders won 9-1 after a spectacular offensive performance. Rockland got runs in each of the five innings. John Brontsema drove in two runs while Chase Harris, Adam Ehrlich, Grant Heyman, Blake Grant-Parks and Collin Ferguson all drove in runs of their own. Richie Fecteau whacked a two-run home run in the fifth inning to put the icing on the cake.

On the pitching side, Rockland got 3.2 solid innings from Landon Holifield, who allowed just one run in his first start of the season. Nick Kennedy, James Mulry and Josh Turner all chipped in scoreless outings to close out the victory.

After Tuesday's doubleheader, the teams will resume their series on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. from Palisades Credit Union Park.
