Boulders Drop Three of Four to Aigles

The Rockland Boulders (21-29) dropped their series finale by a score of 10-3 to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles (30-20) on Sunday afternoon.

The Boulders scored in each of the first three innings, with Blake Grant-Parks driving in two of the three runs for the Boulders with RBI singles in the first and third innings. However, Rockland pitchers Zach Jemiola and Tim Ponto both struggled, allowing seven of the ten Aigles runs. Seven of the nine Trois-Rivieres hitters also drove in at least one run on the afternoon.

11 of the game's 13 total runs were scored in the first four innings. The Aigles added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth off Boulders reliever Alex Fishberg.

After opening the second half of the season against Trois-Rivieres, the Boulders will stay north of the border to play the Ottawa Champions starting tomorrow night. After playing Ottawa for three games, Rockland will come home for a weekend series with the first-place Miners starting on Friday night at 7 p.m. from Palisades Credit Union Park.
