The Rockland Boulders (27-30) used a huge six run first inning to cruise to a 13-4 victory over the Sussex County Miners (34-20). The win completes a three game series sweep for the Boulders over the defending Can Am League champions.

The Miners plated a run in the first, but Rockland quickly struck back with six of their own in the bottom of the frame, headlined by Ryne Birk's fourth home run of the year. Richie Fecteau also had a huge game for Rockland, going 3 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBI's, including his team leading eighth home run of the year. Every Rockland starter recorded at least one hit and scored at least one run. Boulders' starter Jake Zokan allowed two runs (one earned) in five innings to pick up his first win of the year.

The Boulders will look to extend their winning streak to five when they begin a four game series against the Ottawa Champions. First up is a double header, with first pitch for Tuesday's game scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Palisades Credit Union Park.
