The Boulders (34-37) returned to Palisades Credit Union Park to defeat the Jackals (37-32) in the first game of a three-game split series 6-1. Rockland cuts New Jersey's advantage to four games for third place in the Can-Am League standings.

In his first appearance as a Boulder and first professional start since 2017, Edgar De La Rosa received the win after pitching five innings, allowing just one run on four hits. The right-hander struck out three Jackals batters.

Grant Heyman led the way on offense with a 2-3 performance, including a home run and three RBIs. Richie Fecteau tacked on his 11th homer of the season, two home runs away from the league lead.

The Boulders head to Montclair for the second game of the series on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Yogi Berra Stadium, before Rockland returns to Palisades Credit Union Park on Thursday for a 7:00 p.m. start.
