Rockland Boulders to Celebrate 10th Anniversary Season in 2020

Rockland County, NY (October 21, 2019) – A celebration 10 years in the making, the Rockland Boulders will commemorate the team’s 10th Anniversary Season in 2020, presented by Good Samaritan Hospital. In addition to a 10th Anniversary commemorative logo, a host of promotions are scheduled to celebrate their tenure at Palisades Credit Union Park.

This season, the Boulders will unveil special commemorative alternate jerseys and fans will have their say in selecting highlights from “A Bould Decade,” including Top 10 Moments in Boulders History, an All-Time 10th Anniversary Team, and much more.

After playing their first 16 games on the road while the finishing touches were put on the state-of-the-art Palisades Credit Union Park, the Boulders played their first home game on June 16, 2011, defeating the Brockton Rox by a 3-1 count in front of a Standing Room Only crowd of 6,317 fans. Since then, over one million fans have come through the gates, with that milestone being reached in 2017.

Highlights from the first nine seasons include winning the Can-Am Championship in 2014, former New York Met Howard Johnson’s stint with the team playing alongside his son Glen at the end of the inaugural season, Nik Wallenda’s death-defying tightrope walk between stadium light towers, charitable donations approaching the $1 million dollar mark through the Boulders Community Fund, and hosting the 2019 Frontier vs. Can-Am League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.

Big events are in store for the upcoming year, and will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Coming off the success of the All-Star season, we’ve been working toward making this yet another memorable season for both our long-term fans and new ones alike,” noted Team President Shawn Reilly. “There has been no ‘off’ in this off-season and we expect a lot of excitement as we position ourselves for the next 10 years and beyond of providing family-friendly, affordable fun.”
