Rockland County, NY (October 21, 2019) – The Rockland Boulders have announced their schedule for the 2020 season, the organization’s first in the newly-merged Frontier League and also their 10th Anniversary Season. The 96-game regular season includes 48 at home and runs from May 14, 2020, through September 6, with playoff format and dates to be determined.
After opening at Sussex County against the Miners on Thursday, May 14, 2020, the Boulders return to Palisades Credit Union Park for their longest homestand of the season, totaling nine games against a trio of new opponents. The Home Opener is set for Friday, May 15, as the Boulders take on the Washington Wild Things for the start of a three-game series. The Southern Illinois Miners then visit for three games from May 19-21, while the Lake Erie Crushers pay a call to close out the stand with a weekend set from May 22-24.
Washington (PA) and Lake Erie are now opponents in the Can-Am Division, along with former Can-Am League teams Sussex County, the Quebec Capitales, Trois-Rivieres Aigles, and New Jersey Jackals. Southern Illinois is part of the Midwestern Division, which includes the Gateway Grizzlies, Joliet Slammers, Windy City Thunderbolts, Florence Freedom, Evansville Otters, and Schaumburg Boomers.
While promotional dates and game times will be announced in the coming weeks, the Boulders have set their schedule of School and Camp Days, with 10:30 am School Days set for Wednesday, May 10 (vs. Southern Illinois); Tuesday, June 1 (vs. New Jersey); and Wednesday, June 10 (vs. New Jersey). Camp Day matinees with an 11:00 am start will be featured on Tuesday, July 21 (vs. Gateway); Wednesday July 22 (vs. Gateway); and Wednesday, August 5 (vs. Quebec).
