The New York Boulders announced today that the Team Israel Olympic Baseball Team has postponed their two scheduled exhibition games at Palisades Credit Union Park until the summer of 2021.

The games were to be part of a seven-game pre-Olympic tour in the Northeast by Team Israel. However, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Tokyo Summer Olympics has been postponed until July, 2021.

Team Israel was originally set to face off against the Boulders at 7 p.m. on July 13, then meet the NYPD’s Finest Baseball Team the following morning at 11 a.m.

“Team Israel is very disappointed that we are not going to the Olympics this year and will not get the chance to practice and play in Rockland County this summer in our quest for an Olympic medal,” Israeli Association of Baseball President and General Manager Peter Kurz said. “Whenever the games are rescheduled, Palisades Credit Union Park will remain in our plans for practice and exhibition games, and we look forward to being there and playing in front of the fans.”

Kurz added, “In the meantime, we all need to focus on fighting the spread of Covid-19 and urge all our fans to stay at home and practice social distancing. Stay safe!”

The date and times for the games in 2021 will be announced early in 2021.
