Rockland County, NY (August 2, 2021) – After making history in playing the first Frontier League game in Canada on this past road trip, the New York Boulders return home this week for a crucial stretch of games that will see the team play 13 of their next 14 games at Palisades Credit Union Park as the Atlantic Division pennant race kicks into high gear.

Wins in Quebec in their final two games of the recent seven-game road trip left the Boulders only two games behind Atlantic Division leading Tri-City with New York viewing the next two weeks as their chance to overtake the Valley Cats and move atop the division.

The Boulders also sit just one game behind second-place Equipe Quebec in the divisional race.

The lone road game over the next 14 games will come on Thursday, Aug. 5, when the Boulders take the short trip down the Palisades Interstate Parkway to play the New Jersey Jackals. That will be the finale of a three-game split-series with the Jackals after the teams square off at PCU Park on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. and then at 11 a.m. – Camp Day – on Wednesday, Aug. 4.

After taking two-of-three in Quebec City this past weekend, the Boulders will next entertain Equipe Quebec for a three-game weekend set – Friday, Aug. 6 through Sunday, Aug. 8 – in Pomona. The Friday game is set for a 7 p.m. start, with the first pitch on Saturday scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Saturday’s Military Appreciation Night will be followed by a fireworks’ extravaganza, while Friday’s Frontline Workers honored will be restaurant workers.

That three-game set kicks off a stretch of 10 home games in 9 days for the Boulders.

Next in will be the Northeast Division leading Sussex County Miners for 7 p.m. games on Tuesday, Aug. 10 to Thursday, Aug. 12. Following the Miners into Pomona will be the PIP-rival New Jersey Jackals for four games – a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13 (which is a Frontline Friday honoring Postal Service employees), a Saturday, Aug. 14, 6:30 p.m. start which will be followed by the usual Saturday fireworks’ show, and a 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15 twilight affair.

As the Dog Days of Summer heat up, so does Pennant Fever in Pomona with the Boulders looking to take advantage of this stretch to make their move in the Atlantic Division.

Individual game tickets are on sale now.
