FAST START PROPELS EQUIPE QUEBEC TO WIN OVER BOULDERS

Rockland County, NY (August 24, 2021) – Equipe Quebec pounded out 20 hits on their way to a 17-6 win over the New York Boulders on Tuesday night at Palisades Credit Union Park.

Equipe Quebec scored early and often, plating four runs in the first inning, five in the second, two in the third and four more in the fourth to grab a commanding 15-5 lead through four frames.

Jeffry Parra and Jonathan Lacroix each had three hits and drove in four runs for Quebec. Included among Parra's hits was a two-run home run, his 13th of the season, in the second inning, while Lacroix had a three-run double in the first stanza.

Jesse Hodges had three doubles and three RBI for Quebec, while Raphael Gladu chipped in with two hits, including a three-run double in the fourth inning.

Tucker Nathans hit his 10th home run of the year for New York, a two-run shot in the second inning, while Jack Sundberg had three hits and three RBI, including a two-run second inning double.

Ray Hernandez also had an RBI for New York.

Codie Paiva started and went the first six innings to pick up the win for Equipe Quebec, improving to 5-4 on the year.

Orsen Josephina started for New York and lasted just 2/3 of inning as he took the loss and fell to 5-4 on the season.
