The New Jersey Jackals ended the Frontier League regular season on a high note with a 19-2 win over the New York Boulders on Sunday at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls, NJ.
Dalton Combs and Josh Rehwaldt each had five RBI for the Jackals, while Alex Kachler finished the afternoon with four RBI.
Combs had a three-run third inning home run and a two-run fourth inning single, The home run was Combs'eighth of the year. Rehwaldt had a third inning double that drove in one and then had an eighth inning grand slam, his 11th of the season.
Meanwhile, Kachler knocked in a run with a third inning double, then knocked in two with a fourth inning double. He added a run-scoring double in the seventh inning.
Kachler and Justin Wylie each had four hits for New Jersey, which banged out 23 hits.
The Boulders' runs came via a sixth inning groundout by Tucker Nathans and an RBI seventh inning single by Kevonte Mitchell.
Each team used five pitchers and each utilized a position player on the mound - New Jersey's centerfielder Demetrius Moorer throwing the final three innings and Boulders' first baseman Ray Hernandez tossing the eighth inning.
