Now just 1.5 games back in Push for the Playoffs

Riding a 6-game win streak off their perfect 6-0 homestand, the Boulders are within just 1.5 games of a Wildcard spot in the Frontier League's East Division as they head to Ottawa for a 3-game set against the Titans.

Not only did they pick up two games on the 3rd-place Sussex County Miners this past weekend, but they are also just 3.5 behind Ottawa for a potential home-field advantage in the Wildcard round.

Player of the Week David Vinsky paced the league's most potent offense with a 4-home run week, and he is 2nd in RBI with 72. New York leads the circuit in runs (528) and RBI (480), while standing 2nd in homers (110), batting average (.291), and hits (721).

Paced by Alex Mack's no-hit bid ending in a 1-hit effort over 8.0 innings Friday, Boulders hurlers did their part with a string of 29.0 scoreless innings.

Only 24 games remain in the 2022 campaign, with half being at Clover Stadium, where the Red, White, and Blue have been the hottest home team in the league, erasing a slow start with a 25-6 (.806 win percentage) record since June 3. That includes two win streaks of 6-games (one current), and two others of 5-games.

After their big trip to Ottawa, the Boulders roll home for a weekend set against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles from August 12-14, followed by a visit from the rival New Jersey Jackals from August 16-18.
