POMONA, NY — The New York Boulders fell victim to a late rally by the Ottawa Titans, who scored eight unanswered runs in the final three innings to pull away for a 10-3 win Tuesday at Clover Stadium. The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for the Boulders.

New York committed two errors and hit a batter with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, which lead to a six-run rally for Ottawa. The Titans’ top of the order feasted on Boulders pitching, with their first five batters going a combined 12 for 23 with seven RBI and seven runs scored. Jackie Urbaez, Jason Dicochea and A.J. Wright each recorded three hits in the win.

The Boulders compiled seven hits from seven different batters in the loss. Thomas Walraven hit a go-ahead solo home run in the sixth inning, but New York’s lead would ultimately be short-lived. Gabriel Garcia and Tucker Nathans also drove in runs for the Boulders.

Nick MacDonald earned the win for Ottawa, allowing one earned run in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Ryan Munoz was saddled with the loss, allowing two earned runs in 0 2/3 innings of relief. Boulders starter Alec Huertas struck out five and allowed two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings of work. Alex Mack struck out three over two scoreless innings of relief for New York.
