(POMONA, NY) - Rockland Boulders do-it-all man, Stephen Cardullo, was recently signed to a minor league contract by the Colorado Rockies. The deal makes him the second player from the 2015 team to ink a contract with a Major League affiliate, joining Can-Am League MVP Joe Maloney who signed with the Minnesota Twins.

A three-year member of the team, Cardullo hit .331 in 2015 with 76 RBI and 34 doubles, tying the franchises single-season record. His 2015 season produced a number of other top-5 single-season performances, including placing second in average, fourth in RBI, hits (4th - 119), stolen bases (3rd - 23), walks (5th - 49), and on-base percentage (4th - .410).

The Boulders career record holder in games played (297), Cardullo also holds Rockland's all-time mark in hits (320), RBI, (183), doubles (82), triples (10), walks (108), stolen bases (50), at-bats (1071), and runs scored (158). His first-inning grand slam in Game 5 of the 2014 Can-Am League championship series helped catapult the Boulders to their first ever league title. During the championship series, he led the team in both home runs (3) and RBI (7). 

Cardullo was originally a 24th round draft pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2010 draft, playing two years in their minor league system. He will be assigned to an affiliate of the Rockies in Spring Training.
