70 Games to be Broadcast on Boulders Broadcast Network in 2016

(POMONA, NY) – Three Rockland Boulders homes games will be shown on the ESPN family of networks, highlighting the teams broadcast schedule for the 2016 season.

The Spanish broadcast of the game against the Cuban National Team on Friday June 24th will be carried nationwide on ESPN Deportes, while all three Cuban games will be broadcast in English on ESPN 3. In total, 70 games throughout the year can be seen and heard as part of the Boulders Broadcast Network (BBN) this year.

When the Cuban National Team visits Palisades Credit Union Park on Friday, June 24th, fans will be able to watch the historic matchup on ESPN Deportes across the country. The game will feature former Cuban National Team, and New York Yankees, star, Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez throwing out the first pitch. Both Saturday, June 25th, and Sunday, June 26th will also be broadcast on ESPN3, as well as on the Watch ESPN app, available on most mobile devices. Fans can check their local listings for which channel they can view the game on.   As a special treat, fans will be able to watch live on Saturday, June 25th, as aerialist Nik Wallenda attempts to walk over Palisades Credit Union Park, more than 150 feet in the air.

All 54 home games, along with select road games at New Jersey and Sussex County, will be broadcast live on the radio during the summer. There will also be 14 TV simulcasts for Boulders home games, which fans can watch on Optimum 78 and/or 77 in Rockland County, beginning with Opening Night on Thursday, May 19th. Games on the radio can be heard on 1700-AM, WRCR, as well as on www.RocklandBoulders.com. Every 2016 Can-Am League game will also be streamed live on www.CanAmLeague.tv at no cost, with the home team providing commentary.

The 2016 BBN crew features three regulars and one newcomer to the team. Returning to the broadcast booth is the duo of Seth Cantor and Dan Arndt, with Christian Heimall calling all road games.  Joining the crew is Marc Ernay, an industry veteran, who will fill-in during select home broadcasts.

Cantor, enters his sixth season as "The Voice of the Boulders”. The North Rockland High School graduate and Ithaca College alum is the lead play-by-play voice on the team’s television and radio broadcasts and as Assistant General Manager, Cantor is responsible for developing and maintaining the Boulders’ corporate partnerships. With nearly fifteen years of on-air experience, Cantor is the broadcast voice for St. Francis College's Division I Men’s Basketball program in New York City and is also serves as a sports anchor on industry renowned Bloomberg Radio AM-1130 while filling-in on WCBS-880.

Beginning his third season in the booth, Arndt is a native New Yorker who has spent more than 25 years working in professional sports and network television broadcasting. He will once again partner with Cantor as color commentator for the 2016 season. Some of Arndt’s career highlights include time at ABC Sports, ESPN and the National Football League, his work on eleven Super Bowls, multiple Olympic Games, Grand Slam Golf and Tennis Championships, The Little League World Series, The Ryder Cup, and more than twenty New York City Marathons.

Serving as play-by-play man for select road games, Heimall enters his fourth season as a member of the Boulders Broadcast Network. Serving as color commentator and #2 play-by-play voice in both 2013 and 2014, he also serves as the teams Promotions and Public Relations Manager. Heimall is also the play-by-play voice for Manhattan College athletics, a position he has held for five seasons.

The Boulders welcome industry veteran Marc Ernay, who will join the broadcasts for select games. Ernay is the Sports Director and morning drive anchor for the legendary 1010 WINS in New York City; positions he has held since January, 2012. Ernay is a 1988 graduate of Hofstra University and has covered multiple Super Bowls, World Series, MLB All Star Games, NBA and NHL Finals, along with other major sporting events. He also mans the finish line in Central Park for 1010 WINS’ annual coverage of the New York City Marathon.

Rockland’s 2016 season begins on Thursday, May 19th, when they host the Sussex County Miners at 7:00pm and the newly named Palisades Credit Union Park. The game can be heard on 1700-AM, WRCR and seen on Optimum Channel 78 in Rockland County.
