(POMONA, NY) – Pointstreak, the Can-Am League’s official statistician, has named Rockland Boulders outfielder Devin Harris the Pointstreak Player of the Week. The outfielder hit .417 with one homerun and 11 runs batted in during the week in which Rockland went 5-1, catapulting themselves into second place in the league.

Harris, a 6’4”, 240 pound outfielder, ranked fifth in the Can-Am with a .417 average during the week, leading all hitters with 11 RBI. He had a hit in five of the six games the Boulders played, going 3-for-4 with a three-run homer on July 13th in an 11-4 Rockland win over New Jersey. The right-handed slugger also had four multi-RBI games during the week and scored the game-winning run in the Boulders miraculous walk-off win over the Jackals on Thursday, July 14th.

So far this season Harris is batting .302 with a pair of homers and 14 RBI in just 12 games with the Boulders. He and the rest of the squad return to action on Tuesday, July 19th at Sussex County for a 10:30 am game before coming home on Wednesday, July 20th for an 11:00am first pitch at Palisades Credit Union Park. Rockland (34-21), has won five straight games and sits just half a game behind Quebec for first place in the Can-Am.
