(POMONA, NY) – Three different members of the Rockland Boulders will travel to St. Paul, Minnesota to represent the Can-Am League in the American Association All-Star Game on Tuesday, August 2nd at CHS Field, home of the St. Paul Saints. Shortstop Junior Arrojo and catcher Marcus Nidiffer were named to the squad while manager Jamie Keefe was selected as a coach.

Arrojo currently leads the Can-Am with a .359 batting average, including five home runs and 33 runs batted in this season. He is also tops in the league with 28 stolen bases and an impressive .498 on-base percentage. A Can-Am League All-Star in 2015, Arrojo has been stellar defensively as well turning a league-high 25 double plays with 130 total assists in 201 total chances.

The team captain, Nidiffer boasts 11 homers on the year, second most in the league, as well as 37 RBI, which ranks third highest in the Can-Am. Nidiffer also sits third in the league with a .497 slugging percentage, second best on the Boulders. A leader in the clubhouse, the catcher holds a .994 fielding percentage in 22 games behind the plate, but has also helped build a pitching staff that holds a 4.02 ERA.

In his fourth season as the Boulders manager, Jamie Keefe holds more than 600 professional wins as skipper, including a league record three Manager of the Year awards. The reigning Manager of the Year, he has steadily improved Rockland’s record each season, including two regular season titles and the 2014 Can-Am League championship.

The trio will join the rest of the Can-Am representatives as they join with the South Division of the American Association to do battle with the Central and North Divisions. The game will be televised live at 7:00pm on August 2nd on Fox Sports North Plus, as well as online at www.AmericanAssociationBaseball.tv. The Home Run Derby will be shown online only on Monday, August 1st at 8:00pm with participants being announced at a later date.
