Cole Kraft was part of the Boulders during their first two years, 2011-2012, being used all around the infield during his stint in Pomona.
However, after Kraft left the Boulders, he took up a job with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as an assistant baseball coach, and he has been there ever since. This came after Kraft had worked as an assistant baseball coach at the Milwaukee School of Engineering even during his tenure with Rockland. Despite the fact that Kraft has been coaching baseball on the collegiate level for the past five years, it’s not the only thing he’s been doing in his career.
In 2014, Kraft actually made his own business, as a real estate investor, called the Kraft company. He and a group of other investors try to find properties to invest in. It seems to be an interesting career choice for Kraft, who of course worked as a professional baseball player, and graduated with a degree in higher education.
The Boulders were the only professional baseball team that Cole Kraft ever played for. After going undrafted out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2011, he signed with the Boulders halfway through their first season in team history. The Wisconsin native took over the infield job nearly right away, starting 43 games at second base, as well as a handful at shortstop and third base.
It was in 2012 that Kraft really showed his value, especially as a piece to be used around the infield. He played in 90 games that year, with 41 at second, 40 at short, and 11 at third base. His ability to be a solid utility man was accentuated with his contributions at the plate. In his two seasons with Rockland, hitting .253/.306/.352 triple slash line, driving in 62 runs, and scoring 68 of his own. Kraft also showed decent speed and baserunning skills, stealing 11 bases while only being caught four times.
