On Saturday, May 13th, 2017 the Rockland Boulders will host their fifth annual “Beers Around the Bases” Craft Beer Festival, presented by Dana Distributors at Palisades Credit Union Park. The Festival will take place from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, prior to Rockland’s annual exhibition game with the NYPD’s Finest baseball team, which is slated for first pitch at 6:30PM.

Baseball and beer have gone together since the invention of baseball and beer,” said Ken Lehner, Team President.  “However, baseball and craft beer have gone together for the past decade or so and our annual ‘Beers Around the Bases’ is a perfect example of that.”

Fans who attend “Beers Around the Bases” will have an opportunity to taste more than 30 different craft beers, including the two Boulders’ specialty brews: 2nd Base Blonde, and Bottom 9 Brew along with a slew of breweries in the Dana Distributors portfolio such as Adirondack Brewery, Bull & Barrel Brew, Davidson Brothers, Goose Island, Kona Brewing, Long Ireland, Mill House Brewing Company, Paradox Brewery, Roscoe NY Beer Company, Shock Top and more, including a selection of ciders. Bands will be rocking the revelers all afternoon long with other forms of games and live entertainment to be enjoyed.  Collectable Boulders brew items such as hats, t-shirts, magnets, and coasters will be available for purchase during the event as well.

“Last year, over 1,250 patrons attended the Festival and tickets are already trending higher for this springs event,” Lehner continued.  “As a result, to make this experience as best as possible for craft beer drinkers from the lower Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey we will limiting sales to 1,500 tickets this time around.”

Tickets for the Beer Fest are $35 in advance, $40 on the day of with gates opening at 2:30pm on May 13th. Those who wish to be designated drivers can get admission for $15 in advance and $20 at the door. All patrons MUST be 21 years of age or older.

Following the Festival, the Rockland Boulders baseball team will face off against NYPD’s Finest in their fifth annual exhibition game starting at 6:30pm. Admission is free and all those who purchase a ticket to the Festival will also receive a general admission voucher to the exhibition. A special Fireworks Extravaganza will follow the friendly game as well.
