On Tuesday, the Rockland Boulders announced the signing of pitcher Jason Byers.  A 6’2” lefty from Ohio, Byers enters his second season with the Boulders in 2017, and his 2nd overall year in professional baseball.  

Byers, 23, made his professional debut last season with your Boulders.  He appeared in 10 games, of which 8 were starts.  Over the 10 games last season, Byers compiled a 3 - 1 record, pitched 49 innings, gave up 51 hits, 21 runs of which 19 were earned, and had a 3.49 ERA while walking 19 and striking out 24.

Byers and the rest of the Boulders will begin their seventh season on Thursday, May 18th when they host the Sussex County Miners at 7:00pm at Palisades Credit Union Park. Season Ticket Memberships are currently on-sale and can be purchased by visiting the box office or calling (845) 364-0009.
