First Game With Palisades Credit Union Matching Donation Exceeds Expectations

The Rockland Boulders announced today that the first game in the “Funtastic Fundraiser Program” presented by Palisades Credit Union generated a whopping $22,300 for eligible 501(c)3 organizations this past Saturday, May 20th.   A raucous crowd of 4,202 at Palisades Credit Union Park watched their beloved Boulders sweep the Sussex County Miners in a doubleheader with upwards of 2,000 of the tickets sold being part of the new 2017 fundraiser program.

“We proclaimed it in January when we announced this program that thanks to Palisades Credit Union this will be the best fundraiser program in the history of professional baseball and we proved it on Saturday night”, said Ken Lehner, President.  “This is an unprecedented amount of money raised and we hope that all eligible 501(c)3  organizations take notice, but more importantly take action to raise money for their cause.  It is our duty to assist by activating our assets and partnering with our partners to help those in need of funds.”

The “Funtastic Fundraiser Programs” can be enjoyed during any Friday or Saturday home game in the Boulders 2017 regular season. On Friday nights, groups may sell $15 tickets that include a special Rockland Boulders hat and an infield box seat. For each ticket sold, the Boulders will donate $4 to the participating group. The same deal will apply on Saturday nights, $15 for an infield box seat and a Boulders hat, but the team will instead donate $6 to the organization for each ticket sold.

As an added bonus this year, the Boulders partnered with Palisades Credit Union to increase the amount of potential funds raised. During this exciting new program, should any 501(c)3 organization sell at least 100 tickets, Palisades Credit Union will match the donations by the Boulders allowing groups to receive up to $12 back for every $15 ticket sold.

A total of 18 dates still remain for this exciting program, including 10 Saturdays throughout the 2017 summer, that all include a post-game Fireworks Extravaganza. The next game where groups can take advantage of this new plan is Friday, May 26th.  If your group is interested in booking a fundraiser game this year, do not hesitate to call (845) 364-0009 to speak with one of our experienced sales representatives because the sooner you can begin fundraising the more money you can generate.

The Rockland Boulders are currently red hot as they have rolled to six consecutive wins to start the season and find themselves in first place as a result.  The Boulders next home game will be on Friday, May 26th against the Quebec Capitales set to begin at 7pm at Palisades Credit Union Park.  In addition to the fundraising program, season ticket memberships and numerous other ticket packages are currently on-sale and can be purchased by visiting the box office or calling (845) 364-0009.  For more information, slide to rocklandboulders.com
