Boulders Lose 11-7

After winning last night’s game against New Jersey, the Rockland Boulders suffered a loss at the hand of the Jackals 11-7 in another high scoring affair. Andres Caceres recorded the win while Chris Carmain was the losing pitcher. Starter CJ Riefenhouser pitched 4.1 innings and gave up 4 runs for the Boulders. New Jersey starter Isaac Pavlik surrendered three runs in five innings. 

 

Right fielder Mike Montville had two hits in the game that included his fourth home run of the season en route to a three RBI day. Left fielder Jon Smith also had three hits to continue his excellent season. 

 

Johnny Bladel had a stellar game with four hits including a triple and three RBIs for New Jersey. Rylan Sandoval and Taylor Brennan each hit a home run that contributed to the slugfest.

 

The two rivals concluded their four game series against each other. Rockland will have two off days before returning to play Wednesday against the Sussex County Miners at home. The game will begin at 10:30 a.m.
