The Boulders went into Saturday night’s game having already won the first 2 games of the 4 game set against the Aigles and were eyeing the series victory. The Boulders entered the game with a slim .5 game against Quebec and a win was crucial if they wanted to stay atop the Can Am League Standings. Strong pitching by starter Markus Solbach and timely hitting by Dylan Tice, Joe Moloney, and Mike Montville lead to a crucial 4-1 victory for the Boulders.

Solbach went 7 ⅔ innings, giving up one run on five hits and striking out six to pick up the win.  The loss went to former Boulders pitcher Ethan Elias, who went seven innings, giving up four runs on six hits, and struck out four.

With the win, the Boulders will improve to 52 - 26 on the year, and now have a 1 ½ game lead in the CanAm League.  With the loss, Trois-Rivieres will fall to 28-49.

The final game of this homestand will be played tomorrow night at 5pm at Palisades Credit Union Park.
