Jamie Keefe Signs to Return for 2018

Looking to rock in the upcoming season, the Boulders announced today that they have re-signed Manager Jamie Keefe for the 2018 season. Keefe, who has guided Rockland to the Championship Series in three of the past four seasons, is also a three-time Manager-of-the-Year (2011 w/Pittsfield, 2014, and 2015).

On June 22 of last season, a walk-off 5-4 victory over the Ottawa Champions with the 700th in Jamie’s 15 pro seasons, and he enters the 2018 campaign with 738 to his credit, including an impressive 241-151 (.615 percentage) mark over his past four years, all of which included post-season play. Keefe also managed the Boulders to the franchise’s lone league title in 2014 as well as a pair of regular-season championships.

“Over the past four years we’ve had one of the best records in pro baseball,” noted Team President Shawn Reilly, “and the one constant has been Jamie. It’s easy to see why he’s such a fan favorite, he has the perfect mix of team-building skills and connection to the community that embodies everything we want the Rockland Boulders to be.”

Season eight of Boulders Baseball officially gets underway on Thursday, May 17, 2018, when Rockland’s team hosts the Sussex County Miners for a 6:30 pm start. In addition to their Opening Day opponent, the Boulders will face Can-Am rivals such as the New Jersey Jackals, Quebec Capitales, Ottawa Champions, and Trois-Rivieres Aigles.
