Marcus Nidiffer hit a solo home run in the second inning to give the Boulders an early 1-0 lead in what was an eventual 6-5 loss to the Québec Capitales on Tuesday.

The Boulders were down 6-3 in the top of the ninth when Cody Regis hit a two-out two-run home run to bring Rockland within one run 6-5, but then Nidiffer struck out for the final out of the game.

Travis Hissong pitched three perfect innings to open the game but let the Capitales take advantage after that.

The Boulders play Québec again tomorrow for the third game of a four game series at the Capitales. Rockland returns home Friday, June 1, to take on the New Jersey Jackals at 6:30 p.m.
