Conrad Gregor and Kevin Krause logged key at bats in the Boulders’ 2-1 victory over the Québec Capitales on Thursday, each driving in one of Rockland’s runs. Eight of the nine Boulders in the starting lineup recorded a hit in the 10-hit effort.

Gregor singled in Cody Regis in the third inning for the first run of the game, and Krause singled in Alex Herceg in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie.

Starting pitcher Nick Kennedy allowed the Capitals to score one run in the third, but after that, Boulders pitching kept Québec scoreless, giving up four hits and one walk while striking out three.

The Capitales came close to scoring and tying the game again in the bottom of the seventh inning, but a nice throw from JC Rodriguez to Herceg on a fielder's choice play was in time to tag Edgar Lebron out at the plate.

The Boulders return home Friday for the first game of a three-game series against the New Jersey Jackals. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
