Letter from Team President Shawn Reilly

When the Boulders return from their weeklong road trip to Canada on Friday night, fans can expect a new attraction. As outlined during the preseason, installation of expanded safety netting of the type used at Major League venues has been completed, as announced by Team President Shawn Reilly on Friday morning:

Dear Boulders fans,

I am pleased to inform you that installation of our new and improved netting has been completed. This green, knotless Dyneema net is the same as the New York Yankees use and is 97% transparent.

The new netting extends from Section 114 at the end of the visitors’ dugout all the way around to Section 103 - near the end of the Lia Toyota Dugout of Dreams. It is Kevlar – the same material that is used in Major League ballparks and it is nearly invisible to the naked eye.

I am excited about this new addition to Palisades Credit Union Park as it will allow our fans and particularly families to watch exciting Boulders action and enjoy the many amenities we offer without the worry of flying objects leaving the playing field.

The Boulders return home on Friday night after a long road trip and I look forward to seeing you at the ballpark this weekend. We are committed to the safety of our fans and are continually looking to innovate to make Boulders baseball even more fun and enjoyable. I hope you enjoy the latest improvement to our home.
