The Rockland Boulders took the first of three games to the Trois-Rivieres Aigles 7-6 at Palisades Credit Union Park thanks to a walk-off single to right field by Cody Regis. Marcus Nidiffer supplied the first of his two RBI singles to open the scoring for the Boulders in the third inning and Kevin Krause poked an RBI single through the right side to cut the deficit in half. JC Rodriguez and Conor Bierfeldt smoked back-to-back RBI doubles in the sixth; Rodriguez to the deepest part of the park in center field and Bierfeldt off the Toyota sign in right-center.

Before the sixth was over, Nidiffer hit his second RBI single to cut the lead to just one. Kevin Krause hit a laser over towards third base that would’ve given the Boulders the tie, maybe even the lead, but Aigles’ third baseman made an awesome play to save the runs. In the sixth, Mike Montville finally tied up the game at 6 with a blooper single to left field. Cody Regis delivered the dagger to right field in the bottom of the ninth to send the fans home happy
