Marcus Nidiffer hit a solo home run in the top of the second to give the Boulders an early 1-0 lead in Rockland’s 4-1 victory over the New Jersey jackals on Sunday. Conrad Gregor singled and then Mikael Mogues walked to set up a Jared McDonald two-RBI single to give Rockland a 3-0 advantage.

Rockland let up a run in the fifth inning and then scored another run of their own when Conor Bierfeldt hit an RBI double in the eighth.

Strong Boulders pitching combined for 14 strikeouts while only allowing 4 hits and 2 walks.

The Boulders return home Tuesday to face the Sussex County Miners in a four-game series. Game one of a doubleheader is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
