The Boulders dropped the final game of a three-game series against the Ottawa Champions 6-3. Heavy fog covered the stadium in the top of the eighth inning with Rockland behind 8-3.

The Boulders had four singles and a walk in the bottom of the first, scoring two runs. In the bottom of the second, Jared McDonald hit a solo home run to make the score 3-0.

The Champions’ offense came to life in the fifth inning, scoring three runs. Ottawa then scored two runs in the sixth, one in the seventh and two more in the eighth before fog paused the game. The game was later called and Ottawa was officially credited with the win 6-3. Since the eighth inning was not completed, official stats revert back to the last fully-completed inning.

Rockland has an off day Thursday and then begins a three-game road trip at the Trois-Riviѐres on Friday. The Boulders return home on July 10 for an 11:00 a.m. scheduled doubleheader against the New Jersey Jackals.
