The Boulders split a daytime doubleheader with the New Jersey Jackals in their return to Rockland. The Boulders won the first game 3-1 and dropped the second game 7-1.

Back-to-back home runs in the first inning were enough to secure game one for Rockland. Cody Regis hit a two-run home run and then Marcus Nidiffer hit a solo shot right after.

Brian Ernst made his Rockland debut in game two, pitching 5.0 strong innings, allowing four hits, five walks and one run while striking out three. Boulders relief pitching allowed a two-run home run in the top of the sixth and gave up four more runs in the top of the seventh.

Rockland travels to New Jersey tomorrow for a single game at 11:05 a.m.
