Conrad Gregor recorded two RBI but the Rockland Boulders came up short in an 8-4 loss to the Quebec Capitales at Stade Canac on Sunday afternoon.
Jared McDonald's run-scoring single gave the visitors a lead in the top of the second, but Quebec touched starter Garrett Johnson for six runs over the next two innings to grab a lead they would not relinquish.
Brad Antchak led the way for the hosts with three hits, while Johnson slipped to 3-2 with the loss.
After a day off Monday, the Boulders travel to face the Sussex County Miners on Tuesday and Wednesday to close out their current seven-game road trip before returning to Palisades Credit Union Park. Their upcoming eight-game homestand starts on Thursday against the Capitales, kicking off a four-game weekend set.
