Nidiffer Named Player of the Week
Captain Rocks to 3 HR, .391 Average
The Can Am League has announced that Boulders Captain and designated hitter Marcus Nidiffer is this week's Pointstreak Player of the Week.
Appearing in all seven games, the slugging right-hander batted .391 overall (9-for-23) with three homers, six RBI, and six runs scored. Along with his double, Marcus amassed a powerful .857 slugging percentage and a dominant 1.343 ops.
Nidiffer, in his fifth season in Rockland, continues to provide a power bat in the middle of a prolific lineup that is on pace to shatter the record for team homers in a season, set by the Boulders a year ago. His 15 round-trippers is currently 4th in the Can Am, and he trails teammate Cody Regis by one for the team lead in that category.
He becomes the third Boulder to earn PotW distinction this year, following Regis (5/27/18) and Conrad Gregor (6/17).
