2nd Weekly Honor for Right-hander

For the second time this season, Boulders right-hander David Palladino has been named the Can Am League's Pointstreak Player of the week.

In his lone outing, the formidable 6-9 hurler tossed six dominant innings against the New Jersey Jackals in a Wednesday matinee. David held NJ to just one hit while striking out five and walking three. While the hosts rallied to tie the game and deprive Palladino of the win, the Boulders prevailed with a 5-4 decision in 11 innings.

The first-year Boulder posted similarly impressive numbers in earning the award for the week ending June 24, with seven scoreless frames and 12 strikeouts over a pair of outings. He has emerged as an ace of the Boulders staff of late with a 2.79 season ERA, though he has pitched in hard luck with just a 1-0 record over that span.

Palladino joins Marcus Solbach (2017) and Sean Bierman (2014) and Bobby Blevins (2013) as the only Boulders to earn Pitcher of the Week honors twice or more in one season (Blevins earned the award four times in the 2013 campaign).
