The Boulders (31-29) fell to the Capitales (36-23) 3-2 in ten innings. Quebec struck in the top of the first on an RBI groundout and single. Rockland responded with a run in the bottom of the inning when JC Rodriguez came home on a 4-6-3 double play. After tying the game in the bottom of the 3rd on a Jared McDonald homer, the Boulders wouldn’t score again.

The Capitales broke the tie when Jason Agresti attempted to throw out Adam Ehrlich at third on a steal but airmailed the throw, allowing him to score. This allowed Quebec to snap its four game skid and end the Boulders’ two game winning streak.

The two teams meet again tomorrow at 5pm EST for the final game of series.
