David Palladino had a fantastic start for Rockland on Saturday night. Palladino allowed zero runs over seven innings only allowing five hits. He also recorded six strikeouts including striking out the side in the seventh inning.

The Rockland offense came early tonight from a leadoff home run from Mike Montville. Montville also added the fifth run for Rockland with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth.

Conor Bierfeldt made the game 2-0 in the bottom of the third on an RBI double, and Rylan Sandoval would knock him in along with Marcus Nidiffer to give Rockland a 4-0 lead.

Trey Haley and Kyle Hansen both pitched an inning to preserve the shutout for the home side. Each pitcher recorded a strikeout.

Rockland returns to Palisades Credit Union Park Sunday at 5:00 pm in the final game of a four-game set.
