Conor Bierfeldt hit a two-run home run in the second inning to give the Boulders a lead they would not relinquish as Rockland rolled to a 5-3 win over the New Jersey Jackals on Friday.

After allowing the Jackals to score one run in the top of the first inning, Bierfeldt’s home run put the Boulders up 2-1.

Rockland scored two more in the third inning on a Marcus Nidiffer RBI triple and a Cody Regis RBI ground-rule double to make the score 4-1.

JC Rodriguez hit a home run of his own in the fourth inning to knock in the Boulders’ fifth run to make the score 5-1.

New Jersey hit two RBI singles to make the score 5-3, but the Jackals’ comeback attempt was stopped there.
