Conor Bierfeldt and Rylan Sandoval homered and Nick Sarianides worked six strong innings as the Rockland Boulders claimed a 6-1 victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles at Stade Stereo + in Quebec, Canada.

With the victory, any combination of three Rockland victories or three losses by the New Jersey Jackals will send the Boulders to the post-season for the fifth consecutive season. The top four teams in the Can Am League qualify for the playoffs, and Rockland entered the night in a third-place tie with Trois-Rivieres.

Sandoval's first homer of the season put the visitors on top to stay in the third inning, and a four-run seventh inning provided the insurance. Sarianides scattered three hits while yielding just one unearned run to pick up the victory.

Three games remain in the four-game set against the Aigles before the Boulders wrap up the regular season with a four-game Labor Day weekend set in Ottawa against the Champions.
