Nothing Stops Boulders Fans!

For the seventh consecutive season, the Rockland Boulders finished with the highest attendance in the Can Am League. A total of 127,528 fans passed through the gates at Palisades Credit Union Park in the 2018 regular season, and with an average of 2,772, Rockland finished well ahead of second place Quebec (2,386), marking the fifth straight year the franchise has led in average attendance.

Even more impressive, the crowds continued to flock to Boulders games despite an unusually inclement-weather plagued season, which saw Rockland's home schedule reduced to just 46 dates, compared to the 53 for their rivals from Canada.

Highlighting this season's gate parade was a pair of record-setting dates in the season's final home weekend. On Saturday, August 25th, a crowd of 6,712 packed the park, establishing a new record since the franchise's inception in 2011.

That mark would stand for less than 24 hours as fans took advantage of a beautiful late-summer weekend, storming the gates to the tune of 7,336 for the Fan Appreciation Day finale, with over 16,000 accounting for the biggest series in team history.

"We've always said we have the most dedicated fans in the Can Am League" noted Team President Shawn Reilly. "It has felt like we've been fighting the elements all season and we lost several home dates to rain, but our fans just kept coming out and that last weekend proves just how much support we have. People in this area have a lot of activities to choose from and we're thrilled that they've been so supportive for the past eight years."

The Boulders hope to press that home-field advantage when the 2018 playoffs start with a match-up against Quebec, with Palisades Credit Union Park hosting contests on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm. The remainder of the best-of-5 series will be played in Quebec City, with the winner advancing to the Can Am League Championship.
