Game 4 Saturday Night

The Quebec Capitales responded from a record-setting loss to capture Game 3 of the Can Am semi-finals over the Rockland Boulders by a 6-2 count at Stade Canac. Quebec now leads the best-of-5 series and Rockland will look to draw even on Saturday night.

An unearned run put the hosts on top in the first, but the Boulders drew even on an unearned run in the top of the fourth. Kalian Sams hit his second homer of the series in the bottom half to give Quebec the lead, only to see Reggie Wilson tie the score on a fielding error in the next frame.

Quebec grabbed the lead for good with a run in the bottom of the fifth and added three more insurance tallies one inning later. Lazaro Blanco struck out 10 in seven strong innings of work with Trevor Bayless taking his second save of the series for the Capitales. Nick Sarianides started and took the loss for the Boulders.

Game 4 is a 6:05 pm start at Stade Canac, with Game 5 (if necessary) scheduled for Sunday at 6:05 pm.
