Attended Oral Roberts University.

Signed as an amateur free agent out of college following the draft in 2012. Started out in rookie ball, played then in High-A Wilmington, then after a season ending injury played in the Australian Baseball League.

In 2014, he split time between High-A and AA Northwest Arkansas before being released. He signed with the New Jersey Jackals in 2015.  

He hit a career high .299 in 2013 in Wilmington, as well as posting personal bests in Homers (8), RBI (59) Runs Scored (42), but tailed off the following year after his injury.

With New Jersey, his first year in the Can-Am league, Schlehuber hit .290/.365/.409, as well as five homers. He knocked 95 hits, drew 42 walks and struck out 53 times.

Brother Jordan also plays baseball at Utah Valley University.
