Drafted in the 27th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2013 draft after four years at the University of Maine, where he was a captain. During his final season at Maine, he was named America East player of the year as a shortstop, as well as being named to the Louisville Slugger All-America Division 1 Third Team.
Made the New York-Penn League All-Star team in his first season in professional ball in 2013 with the Jamestown Jammers. Hit a career high six home runs at Single-A West Virginia Power, as well as a best 19 runs knocked in. Stole a career best 14 bases with Jamestown in 2013. Peaked at High-A Bradenton in 2015 until he was cut after the end of the season. Won back to back state championships during his final two years in high school. Has a business marketing degree from University of Maine.
Was named to the America East rookie team after his freshman season. Started at second his first three seasons before switching to shortstop his senior year.
This is his first season out of affiliated baseball, as well as his first in the Can-Am league.
