Biography:

He was drafted by the Tigers in the 27th round in the 2009 draft. He worked his way up to High-A, but was cut in 2011. Three days later, he was signed by the San Diego Padres. There he went from rookie ball all the way up to AAA in one year, but was released right before the start of the 2012 season.

Set Bryant College records for games played and started, after starting every single game in his four year career at the school after walking on as a freshman shortstop. Also holds record for most triples and walks in school history and was named captain as a sophomore.

Last year, he hit a career best 22 home runs for the Normal Cornbelters of the independent Frontier League. He also recorded professional highs in hits (96), RBI (70), and batting average (.283).

This will be his first action in the Can-Am league, but he has spent time playing in the Frontier League (2012-2015) as well as the American Association for a brief period earlier this season.
