This is Adams' first season with The Boulders. The young RHP signed a contract with the team on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 and got his first start later on that evening against the Sussex County Miners. Despite getting the loss, Adams faced 23 batters over 4.2 IP. He only gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits. He struck out, and walked two.

The recent Wagner College graduate pitched through 220.2 innings during his time there, passing former Seahawk and current Philadelphia Phillies reliever, Andrew Bailey, with 219.1 IP.
