Jason Byers is a left-handed pitcher who played for D-III powerhouse Marietta College before transferring to NAIA school Shawnee State University. 

Byers became Marietta's number one starter as a sophomore in 2014, and as a junior in 2015, went 10-2 in 17 appearances, throwing 95.1 innings, while strikingn out 91 and only walking 22. In 2013 he was named to the All-Midwest Regional Team, as well as receiving all-Prospect League honors in 2014.
