Acquired by the Boulders on August 8, 2016, Brett Palanski is back in professional baseball after a six-year hiatus. He last pitched professionally in 2009, winning a Can-Am League Championship with the Quebec Capitales. Palanski had a 3.28 ERA with a 1-1 record that season.
The 29-year-old pitched two years in the Can-Am, starting his career in 2008 with the Nashua Pride. In his first year, the righty had a 3-3 record with a 3.44 ERA in 19 appearances, including one start.
A 2008 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Palanski recorded 16 wins in his collegiate career, including a career best seven wins in his senior year. He also recorded a career-high 67 strikeouts as a junior in 2007, graduating with 155 total punchouts.
