Entering his fourth season with the Rockland Boulders, after he originally signed with the team out of college in 2013. He also played United League Baseball for San Angelo.

In his three seasons with the Boulders, his best was last season, as he started all of his 16 games, recording a 4.05 ERA with a 5-4 record. Only allowed 0.3 home runs per nine innings last season, while also striking out over six batters per nine innings.

Pitched seven shutout innings on the Boulders championship winning game. He also pitched three complete games, including one complete game shutout. Budkevics also threw a career high 75 strike outs last season.

His older brother was signed out of LIU post by the Dodgers and also played with the Long Island Ducks.
